Victor Harrison
Mr. Harrison is a managing partner and practice director in CSC’s Federal Consulting Practice. As an industry leader, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Object Management Group and of the SOA Consortium; Co-founded the CyberSecurity Consortium and Community of Practice; has been published in magazines as diverse as CIO Magazine and JOOP (Journal of Object Oriented Programming); has spoken at numerous conferences ranging from Gartner’s Architecture and BPM Conferences to INCOSE to the IT Security Automation Conference. Mr. Harrison is a patent holder; an acknowledged industry expert in enterprise and inter-enterprise SOA; Metadata Driven Environments, Cloud enabled services, Model Driven Architecture; and intrinsically secure architectures. In these capacities he provides leadership to CSC, CSC’s customers, and to the industry as a whole.

As an experienced technical leader he has been a CTO for a manufacturing company; an R&D Director for an ERP company; chief architect or chief engineer of numerous large and complex programs; and strategic consultant to over a hundred different organizations ranging from commercial enterprises to federal and state agencies to software vendors. The largest and most complex system Mr. Harrison was chief architect/engineer for involved leading 60 development groups on three continents to deliver a distributed worldwide custom developed supply chain solution. He has provided advanced architecture and engineering leadership on numerous SOA enabled systems, including enterprises as diverse as the National Counter-Terrorism Center to the Center for Medicaid and Medicare and beyond. In this capacity he has defined and used not only M2M Services, but companion Dispatching (cross-environment M2M – sort of like a CORBA BOA), and Metadata services.

His current professional interests include agile engineering in software factories; modeled correctness of distributed, event driven, and non-deterministic systems; CyberSecurity; event-driven SOA; and metadata driven architectures utilizing dynamic ontologies.
